Sign Language Workshop

As language students, most of us are familiar with learning a second (or third) language, but one that is very special but even more so important is Sign Language. For this two-hour workshop, you don’t need to know the language, since you’ll be learning the basics with us! We are thrilled to be collaborating with Milena Nakashima, who will be teaching us the basics of what it means to talk using hand signs. Milena is an experienced student and tutor of Pidgin Signed English, which is, in terms of syntax, close to the syntax of the English language as it is a mixture of ASL and English. We are beyond excited that she agreed to guide the workshop. We hope to see many of you there and to start learning this new language via Zoom with you all. See you there!
