What does PACE do?
PACE is the newest addition to Etcetera’s committees. As part of PACE, you organise activities related to any and all Performing Arts, this includes visits to movies, plays, opera’s or organising a performance yourself. This committee does anything that relates to the artsie side of our association.
As a core member of PACE, you participate in committee meetings to discuss and organise future events. These meetings happen as much as the committees want or need to meet. Often this is once a week or every other week.
There are several positions available:
Chair: As the chair of a committee you are in charge of running the meetings and making sure every member is on track with their tasks. You are in charge of writing the agenda and sharing it with your committee members so everyone can prepare accordingly.
Secretary: The secretary often handles the committee’s email and is responsible for contacting partners for collaborations. You are mainly in charge of taking notes during the meetings, to keep track of everything that is discussed and future tasks that need to be completed.
Treasurer: The treasurer is handling the finances of the committee. One job is to make sure the committee can do all the activities, financially speaking. They also stay in touch with the board treasurer to get subsidies and to make sure the finances of the committee are on track.
Social Media Manager: You will be in charge of the social media presence of your committee. This includes writing promotions for your events, as well as a review of the event. You will make sure these posts are put on our Instagram page.
General Member: A general member do all kinds of things furthering the goal of the committee. This can be any of the task listed for the other positions to share responsibility, helping other members or organising parts of the activities. These tasks are done by any committee member and are the most important ones.
Board Associate: A Board Associate is the person from the Board joining the committee. They help the committee and keep the board and the committee close to each other and makes sure to give some guidance to the committee.
